Just before Christnas I warped up my inkle loom following a tablet weaving diagram for a row of Christmas Trees - not really expecting to get it right... but I did!
I can't find the link at the moment but I'll add it to this page when I can.
Again a long time since I've had anything to put on here, but I've been playing with air dry clay... but it's so expensive in the UK so I've had a go at making my own... and had a little bit of fun :-) Shop bought clay - this started as an owl but I changed my mind as I went along and made an cat LOL! Then I made a couple of batches of cold porcelain (I won't tell about the previous attempt at a no cook recipe!) and the first batch was way too sticky but the second was a little better... I had a go at making a little owl on a branch, but without colouring the porcelain as I wasn't expecting much... ...but I really like it so wish it was coloured now! Lately I tried colouring the porcelain before I had a go at modelling, and for some reason I ended up with a clown - but he is kind of cute :-) Let me know what you think ;-) xXx
Well, the PC didn't go too well, as the pen melted! Other than that it was great. I've also had a look at airdrying clay and that was great fun.... Here's my first attempts :-) These were made using DAS airdry clay, which gives a rough look to the flowers, but I was still really pleased with them :-) This second set of flowers were made using a more expensive type of air drying clay, and gave a much smoother colour, the first flower went so well that I went one step further and coloured the next ones. They are fairly basic still but I have REALLY enjoyed making them :-p Since then I have had another play with ADC and then with Katie's playdough. But, you'll have to wait to look at those <3 Sara xXx
I like them
