Getting nearer...

Well, I think I'm getting closer to selling some of my projects! I'd like to start selling the plait-in hair wraps, I've started making a few to display and start sizing them... I've also got a couple of girls lined up ready to test them out for me... I just need to try and work out how much I am going to charge for them (think I'll probably have an introductory price just while I see if there's any interest in them!) If I'm selling the wraps I might as well start selling the friendship bracelets as well... the waves, the macrame style and also the wraps will work nicely as braclets. So, it'll have to be head down while I try to formulate a proper plan of action Wish me luck :-)

A mixed day

What a surprise for me last night, a surprise meal out to celebrate how well our diet is going LOL! Fantastic 4 courses at the New Evergreen in Heathfield - highly recommended  by us! Then I stayed up late (very!) to make a goodbye gift for Sam, as she is leaving Katie's playgroup, I have to admit I would have LOVED to have kept it... it looked so nice :-) I did however learn one thing... beading thread is stretchy (although I actually asked for something that wasn't stretchy!) and therefore rubbish to work with for this project - it took forever ;-p

Bracelets...

Well, the last few days I've been playing with bracelets, I've looked at loads of tutorials which all blurred into one in the end... but they all showed the same technique, some more clearly than others! This is the result...     I really loved doing friendship bracelets when I was younger so these wave bracelets were fairly quick to do, and the kids loved them! Then I tried the macrame style, which again were very popular with the children :-)     Yesterday I decided to try something else I'd seen on a couple of tutorials, but only using the limited materials that I already had I came up with this;     It may be messy (and made with wire wrapping rather than a nice flexible thread!), but I really like it xXx

Welcome!

Well, this is a new expedition! I'm just getting back into the world of crafting, but with a new hobby... ... I've done Hannah (and her friend Jess) hair wraps, and think I would like to start selling tie-in hair wraps ...I've also started making bracelets - starting off simple and hoping to branch out a little as I get to grips with new ideas and techniques, although I am very pleased with the few I have made already (and it's keeping the kids happy - Bonus!) I'm planning to use this blog as a personal log of new things I try and what I learn along the way Well, it's getting late, so I'll see how this first post turns out and update again soon xXx
